New Hanover takes game one of regional series

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The New Hanover Wildcats picked up where they left off on Thursday night as they defeated Holly Springs 2-0.

Jonathan Manis and Brent Kemp drove in runs as Caleb Bishop tossed seven strikeouts in the win.

They take the 1-0 series lead and play Holly Springs on the road tomorrow.

It was a good night for Whiteville baseball and soccer as well as West Brunswick softball who all got victories tonight.

Topsail fell in their game to Northern Guilford.
