UNCW senior guard Lacey Suggs has been named the Colonial Athletic Association's Women's Basketball Scholar-Athlete of the Year.  

Lacey Suggs had a career-high 29 points last week, that earned her the CAA women's basketball player of the week.

Junior center Chinyere Bell came off the bench to score a game-high 18 points, including 16 in the second half, to lead UNCW to a 64-53 victory over Towson in a key Colonial Athletic Association women's basketball contest inside Trask Coliseum on Thursday evening.

Senior guard Madison Raquescored a game-high 23 points, including 15 in the fourth quarter, as UNCW overcame a 14-point deficit to earn its first Colonial Athletic Association win of the season, a 59-55 victory over Hofstra at the Mack Sports Complex on Sunday afternoon.
