NEW HANOVER COUNTY (WWAY) — Some New Hanover County School Board of Education members disagreeing on their legal representation

At Wednesday evenings meeting, the school board discussed concerns over Vogel Law Firm. Some board members questioned the firm’s ability to represent the board as two employees recently left the law firm. Board member Stephanie Kraybill said she felt the firm is “inserting themselves into our operating business,” when speaking on budgetary issues and is not happy with the firm at this time.

“I’m not happy with the services being provided and I’m not happy with what seems to be preferential treatment of some board members over others,” Kraybill said during the meeting.

The board will discuss the matter further at their next meeting on Tuesday, January 9th.
