No. 3 player in the nation from Wilmington to play basketball for USC

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY)  — Ashley High School Basketball player Saniya Rivers has committed to play for the University of South Carolina.

The Class of 2021 Ashley High School product is ranked as the No.3 player in the nation according to ESPN.

As a junior Rivers averaged 25 points per game and 11.7 rebounds. This past spring she was named the North Carolina Gatorade Girls basketball player of the year, for the second straight season.
