PENDER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) – 16th district Representative Chris Millis will officially leave office Friday. But who succeeds him is still uncertain.

Millis announced he would leave the State House to spend more time with his family.

Now the Republican parties in Pender and Onslow county will meet in executive committee to select a successor. We spoke with the leaders of the Pender County GOP and they do not have any shoo-in replacements for Millis.

They will meet in Hampstead Tuesday the 19th to make a decision.
