North Brunswick High School to receive renovations over the summer
LELAND, NC (WWAY) — North Brunswick High School is set to receive some big renovations over the summer.
Capital Projects Manager Grady Watkins says the district’s largest high school will receive upgrades to the gym, cafeteria, and media center.
The cafeteria will get new modernized seating, and newly painted walls.
The gym will be completely renovated with new flooring, a new center court mascot, and new interior paint to match the school’s colors.
The media center will get newly painted walls, modernized seating, and new vinyl wood flooring.
Watkins says much of the changes were based on input from students and faculty.
“Really, it’s about appealing more to the kids; making it more interesting for them, something they can feel more proud with,” he said. “Like with the gym upgrades, the media center upgrades, the media center is basically the hub of the school.”
The renovations are expected to be completed before students return from summer break this fall.
