North Carolina pilot dead after crashing stolen plane in Texas

FANNIN COUNTY, TX (KXII) — A North Carolina pilot is confirmed dead after crashing a stolen plane in Texas.
According to Fannin County Emergency Manager, Troy Hudson, the plane crashed in the northeast part of the county by the Red River near Riverby Ranch on Wednesday.
The Texas Department of Public Safety identified the pilot as Logan James, 23, from Stockesdale, North Carolina. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
