Onslow County Schools responds to allegations of ‘stolen’ football player

ONSLOW COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Monday we told you about how Trask head football coach Jonathan Taylor called out Southwest and Laney High Schools for quote stealing his players. Today Onslow County Schools responded.

Titans star senior running back BJ Jordan announced he would be joining conference rival Southwest just days before the start of the season.

This prompted Taylor to say Jordan, and his counterpart Anthony Tucker who went to Laney, were taken from his team.

In an email sent to the Jacksonville Daily News, Executive Director of Community Affairs for Onslow County Schools said Southwest high school’s administration and football staff “completed their due diligence” when Jordan joined the Stallions.

Trask and Southwest will play in the final game of the season.
