Overnight maintenance work starting in Oak Island

OAK ISLAND, NC (WWAY) — Starting Thursday night, utilities maintenance work will start in the right-of-way (streetside) areas along Middleton Avenue, near the intersection of Oak Island Drive.

The work will be performed during the overnight hours and no street closures, traffic delays, or utility disruptions are expected.

Drivers are urged to use caution when driving through the area and avoid distractions such as phones and media devices.
