Paid parking starting on Cape Fear beaches Tuesday

CAPE FEAR, NC (WWAY) — If you’re looking to head to the beach as the weather gets nicer, be prepared to pay up. Paid parking goes into effect Tuesday in Oak Island, Ocean Isle Beach, Sunset Beach, and Topsail Beach.

Paid parking has already gone into effect in Wrightsville Beach, Carolina Beach, Kure Beach, Surf City, North Topsail Beach, and Holden Beach.

Also remember dogs are not allowed on the strand at Wrightsville Beach beginning Tuesday through September 30th.

In Carolina Beach and Kure Beach, dogs are allowed on the beach during restricted hours before 9 am and after 5 pm starting Tuesday until September 30th.
