Passengers escape Bladenboro plane crash with minor injuries

BLADENBORO, NC (WWAY) —  Authorities say two people suffered minor injuries when their small plane crashed this weekend.

Bladen County Emergency Services Director Bradley Kinlaw said a two passenger plane crashed into a ditch after an unsuccessful take off Saturday. Authorities say the two passengers were treated at a hospital for minor injuries and were released.

Federal authorities are investigating the crash.
