Pedestrian hit and killed on Hwy 17 in Pender Co.

PENDER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — The Highway Patrol says a man was hit and killed Saturday night on Highway 17.

Troopers said it happened around 11:30 p.m. on Highway 17 near Christian Chapel Road. Troopers said Brennon Sills, 20, of Hampstead was struck and killed.

The driver of the infinity SUV has not been identified at this time.

Trooper said the accident is still under investigation, but there are no charges at this time.

No other injuries were reported.
