Pender Co. Schools looking for community input on make-up days
PENDER COUNTY SCHOOLS, NC (WWAY) — Pender County Schools leaders are looking for input from the community on how to address make-up days from Hurricane Florence.
The school district posted a survey on its Facebook page asking for help.
According to the post, Pender County Schools missed up to 30 instructional days as a result of Hurricane Florence. The State has waived up to 20 instructional days which means PCS must make up at least 10 instructional days.
The survey gives you four options to choose from: adding minutes to the school day, changing some non-student days to student days, extending the school year by 1 week or using Saturdays as student make up days.
