Police: Man nabbed after 500 lbs of pot and a kilo of cocaine seized

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WNCN) —  A Fayetteville man was busted after 500 pounds of marijuana and a kilo of cocaine was found during a raid with federal law enforcement, police said in a news release Tuesday.

On Monday, Fayetteville police along with the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives searched a home along the 6200 block of Milford Road in Fayetteville, officials said.

During the search, officials found “numerous stolen firearms, over 500 pounds of marijuana, and approximately a kilogram of cocaine,” the news release said.

Bernard H. Ferguson III, 32, of the 6200 block of Milford Road, was charged with trafficking cocaine by possession and manufacture, trafficking marijuana by possession and manufacture, and maintaining a dwelling for the purpose of keeping and selling controlled substances.

Ferguson is being held on a $500,000 bond in the Cumberland County Detention Center.
