Police release identity of Wilmington mom, baby killed by fallen tree

WILMINGTON NC (WWAY) — Police have released the names of the mom and baby who were killed after a tree fell on a Wilmington home during Hurricane Florence last week.

Police say where, Lesha Patrice Johnson, 41 and her eight month old child were killed. WPD says the husband, Adam Zachery Johnson, 48 remains hospitalized in fair condition.

Johnson and her child were the first fatalities of Hurricane Florence in Wilmington.

Police say it happened on Mercer Avenue around 11 a.m. Friday.
