Port City Jerry Day to raise funds for United Way of Cape Fear Area

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Greenfield Lake Amphitheater will host the 7th annual Port City Jerry Day on Sept. 13, with proceeds benefiting the United Way of the Cape Fear Area.
The benefit concert is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m., with gates opening an hour earlier. Organizers said the lineup includes regional acts as well as HyRyder, a Grateful Dead tribute band.
Event proceeds will go toward the United Way and its network of more than 40 nonprofit organizations across the region. The group says money raised will support programs tied to health, education and financial stability.
The show is presented by the City of Wilmington, Reflections of Hope, Corning Credit Union, Capone and Associates, and Duke Energy.
United Way leaders said the event has become a popular gathering in Wilmington while serving as a fundraiser for community programs.
Tickets are available through the amphitheater’s box office and website.
