Progress update on Fix A Friend Spay Neuter Clinic

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — After last week’s storm rushed water into Fix A Friend Spay Neuter Clinic in Winnabow, we have an update on their recovery progress.

The building is now drying out and the walls from 4-foot down have been removed.

Metal beams have been delivered to the facility in hopes to raise the building to avoid future flooding issues.

They are just waiting for the permit to begin the construction process.

WWAY caught up with Rebecca Leonard, the assistant manager at Fix A Friend Spay Neuter Clinic who said the communities’ support has been their motivation.

“So, seeing the communities’ drive to try and help us get back open as fast as possible makes us that much more determined. So, having the backing of the community just pushes you forwards,” Leonard said.

Leonard adds the community support has been overwhelming. If you are looking to learn more information or donate to Fix A Friend Spay Neuter Clinic you can use this link: http://adoptanangel.net/
