Driver in critical condition after rollover crash
LELAND, NC (WWAY) – A crash on Highway 74/76 snarled drivers in Brunswick County this morning and sent the driver to New Hanover Regional Medical Center in critical condition.
According to Leland Police, it happened just before 8 a.m. on US Highway 74/76 near the exit for River Road in Leland.
Police say EMS took the driver, Jennings Coy Benton, III, 28, of Brunswick County, to the hospital.
His SUV somehow flipped onto its side and landed in the median.
Police are still investigating how it happened. No other car was involved in the crash.
