Rouzer hosts Disaster Preparedness Forum next week

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Rep. David Rouzer’s office will host a Disaster Preparedness Forum on Thursday, May 28, from 4:30-6:30 p.m.

Rouzer’s office says the forum will provide residents along the coast with helpful information and tips on how to prepare for emergencies like hurricanes. Topics will include mobilization and evacuation strategies, North Carolina Emergency Management’s role in disasters, coastal degradation and reclamation issues, and the role of the Red Cross, followed by a brief question and answer session.

WWAY StormTrack 3 Chief Meteorologist Scott Dean will be one of the experts taking part in the forum.

The event is open to the public and is free of charge. It’s at the Wilmington Police Department Blue Room, 615 Bess Street.
