Roy Cooper tours Cape Fear Community College campus

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Roy Cooper made a stop in the Port City Tuesday morning.

The Democratic candidate for governor toured Cape Fear Community College’s health science program and the marine technical program.

While he was in town we asked him about Gov. pat McCrory’s stance claiming Cooper isn’t doing his job as attorney genereal working on lawsuits in the state.

“We are doing our job every day in North Carolina fighting for consumers, protecting people, supporting law enforcement. Governor McCrory should pay back all of the taxpayers all of the legal fees that they have had to pay because they continue to pass unconstitutional laws,” said Cooper.

Cooper took a private tour of the college afterwards. He said he wants to better the state’s education to help improve the work force.
