Running water restored for Leland homeowner following WWAY story

LELAND, NC (WWAY) — WWAY has an update on a story we told you about on Monday involving a Leland homeowner who lost access to running water following a high-speed internet installation.

Kylie Burns was without water for four days after an AT&T crew struck her water line while installing a fiber optic internet cable.

Less than 24 hours after our story aired, Burns said Dimone Parlier Plumbing repaired Burns’ water main free of charge while she waited on a check from AT&T in the mail.

Burns said the check arrived Tuesday afternoon, and that AT&T also offered her six months of service for free.
