Santa spreads holiday cheer at Coastal Pediatric Dentistry

BOLIVIA, NC (WWAY) — Santa Claus made a special visit to Coastal Pediatric Dentistry today, adding a festive touch to what is usually a routine trip to the dentist.

Children, both with and without appointments, had the chance to meet Santa, share their Christmas wish lists, and receive a free printed photo to take home.

Now in its fifth year, the event has become a fun tradition that helps ease kids into their dental visits.

Sirena Taggart, the Treatment Coordinator at Coastal Pediatric Dentistry, shared how Santa’s presence makes the experience less intimidating for young patients.

“Whenever the kids are coming in for treatment and they see Santa, they forget they are having treatment,” Taggart said. “They get excited that Santa’s here, they want their picture taken, they see the Christmas tree. It makes the office feel more magical, and the toys help distract them, too.”

To further sweeten the occasion, Blondiez Donuts food truck was stationed outside the office, offering complimentary treats to everyone participating in the event.
