SC deputies: Stabbing sparked by household chores complaint
SPARTANBURG, SC (AP) — A South Carolina man is accused of stabbing his uncle after he raised a complaint about doing household chores.
Multiple media outlets reported that 26-year-old Darnell Lee Angelo Wells of Spartanburg is accused of stabbing his uncle in the head and neck. Deputies said he was taken to the hospital, but his injuries are not considered life-threatening.
Spartanburg County Sheriff’s deputies say Wells told investigators his uncle came into his room and yelled at him about cleaning up. That sparked an argument that turned physical.
Wells was charged with attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime after the stabbing Saturday night.
