Shallotte church starts gun control petition drive

SHALLOTTE, NC (WWAY) — A Shallotte church is getting involved in the gun control debate.

St. Brendan the Navigator Roman Catholic Church has begun a campaign to curb the epidemic of gun violence.

Starting Saturday, petitions will be available for members of the community to sign. The petitions will be sent to lawmakers on the federal, state and local levels.
