Sharks drop home opener

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The season is now underway but it’s off to a rough start for the Wilmington Sharks following the loss to the Florence Redwolves.

The Sharks jumped out to an early lead in the first inning, but watched it slowly disappear and turn into a lead for Florence as the final score was 11-5.

Wilmington will hit the field next on Thursday against Edenton on the road.
