Six people arrested on drug charges, after 17 pounds of Marijuana, 523 Fentanyl pills recovered

NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — The New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office has arrested six people in a significant drug investigation.
The investigation began in early February when the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office Vice & Narcotics Unit says they received multiple “Crime Tips”.
721 grams of Cocaine, 523 pills of Fentanyl, 2.23 grams of powder fentanyl, 132 grams of Psilocybin, 17 pounds of Marijuana, and 3 Handguns were recovered during the investigation.
The following people were charged for various crimes.
Zy’mene Kore’ Ballard for 21 total drug-related charges, including multiple charges of trafficking and manufacturing fentanyl, cocaine, and marijuana. Ballard remains in the New Hanover County Detention Facility under a $2,510,000 million secured bond.
Stan Kentez Ballard for 19 total drug-related charges to include multiple charges of trafficking and manufacturing fentanyl, cocaine, and marijuana. Ballard remains in the New Hanover County Detention Facility under a $1,510,000 million secured bond.
Kymeek Quincy Rodney for 17 total drug-related charges, including multiple charges of trafficking in fentanyl, cocaine, and marijuana. Rodney was also in possession of a stolen firearm. Rodney was issued a $900,000 secured bond and has bonded out of the New Hanover County Detention Facility.
Elaysia Karee Fortune for 8 total drug-related charges, including multiple charges of trafficking in cocaine and possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana. Fortune was also in possession of a stolen firearm. Fortune remains in the New Hanover County Detention Facility under a $400,000 secured bond.
Ervin Latee Barron Stackhouse for 9 total drug-related charges, including multiple charges of trafficking in cocaine and possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana. Stackhouse was also in possession of a stolen firearm. Stackhouse remains in the New Hanover County Detention Facility under a $400,500 secured bond.
Taye Davon Thompson for 2 total drug-related charges, including possession with intent to sell and deliver fentanyl and carrying a concealed weapon. Thompson was issued a $2,000 bond and is no longer in the New Hanover County Detention Facility.
