‘Slow the cluck down’: Man in chicken suit clocks neighborhood speeders

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, SC (WFLA/WSAV) — A South Carolina man is standing in his neighborhood wearing a chicken suit and holding a radar gun.

He’s telling passing cars to “slow the cluck down” after his pet chicken was hit by a car.

Logan Cambron has lived on Hilton Head Island for 25 years and says he’s sick of drivers speeding down the street.

He doesn’t want one of his neighbor’s children to be struck by a vehicle next.

The neighborhood wants the speed limit reduced from 30 mph to 20 mph, but they haven’t gotten anywhere.

“We’ve got over a dozen kids down this side of the neighborhood,” said Cambron.

“I actually went out and bought a radar gun, and started clocking the vehicles through here, and I watched a big F2 or 350 hauling a concrete mixer doing 43 miles an hour through here.”
