Some homes evacuated in Carolina Beach

CAROLINA BEACH, NC (WWAY) — Heavy rain combined with high tide is leading to some evacuations in Carolina Beach.

The Carolina Beach Fire Department says some residents are being evacuated from the 1700 block of Carolina Beach Avenue North.

Flooding has been reported around town as heavy rain continues to fall this afternoon. High tide was at 1:27 p.m. with the next low tide at 7:49 p.m.
