Some voters wait an hour to cast ballot

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — While most precincts in New Hanover County didn’t have much of a wait to vote on Tuesday, UNCW was a different story.

Around 6:45 p.m. an election official at UNCW said the wait to cast provisional ballots, for voters who were not registered at all or those not registered in New Hanover County, was about an hour long.

The wait for voters who were registered in New Hanover County was only about 5 to 10 minutes at that time.
