Sunset Beach Police provides update on alleged scammers

SUNSET BEACH, NC (WWAY) — Sunset Beach Police provided an update on their investigation involving pest control workers.

Police are now saying that the subjects in question have been identified, and it has been determined that the activity was part of a scheduled maintenance conducted by the HOA rather than a scam, which the tenant was unaware of.

The theft complaint remains under investigation.
