Citing a news release, news outlets reported the woman told police she was approached from behind, pulled to the ground and choked unconscious. The woman said a man who was on top of her when she regained consciousness got off her and ran away with her cellphone.
Another woman was choked but fought off an attack on the same trail in September. Police don’t believe the attacks are related.
