The Bridge Church one of multiple hosting Good Friday services in the Cape Fear

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The Bridge Church in Wilmington was one of many hosting Good Friday services on Friday.

Dozens of church members gathered for a service of music, prayer, communion, and scripture to observe the crucifixion of Jesus and his death. Lots of members got up to speak about the significance of Good Friday, reciting scripture and reflecting on what it means to them. Long-time members of the church and visitors showed up for the service.

Senior church pastor Ethan Welch said no matter your religion, this weekend is important for everyone in need at this time.

“There’s so much pain and hurt in the world right now and I think we need a little bit of encouragement and light. Hopefully this weekend, this an opportunity for us to find some hope and to find some light.”

The Bridge Church will be hosting three services on Easter Sunday at 8:30am, 10am, and 1130am.  They’re located at 2101 Market Street in Wilmington.
