Three City of Southport employees suspended without pay; details of suspension under investigation

SOUTHPORT, NC (WWAY) — Three City of Southport employees are being suspended without pay.

According to a press release from the City of Southport, Randy Jones, Sydney Heil and Kate Marshall are the ones suspended.  Jones and Heil work in the Community Relations Department and Marshall with Animal Protective Services. The details of the suspension are still under investigation by the city. We will update you once more information becomes available.
