Three NC cities land on Forbes.com list of best places for retirement
NORTH CAROLINA (WLOS) — Three North Carolina cities have ranked on the Forbes list of best places in the country to retire to.
Forbes names Asheville, Boone and Raleigh as some of the top 25 U.S. cities to retire to.
The article lists Asheville’s pros as its abundant doctors, good air quality and “non-sweltering summers.”
Its cons? Two include having a “serious crime rate above national average,” and not being very walkable.
Other cities on the list include Colorado Springs, Salt Lake City, Iowa City, Raleigh, and nearby Boone, which is praised for its “college town vibe” .
