Topsail sweeps Coastal Christian on the road

WILMINGTON, N.C. (WWAY) — Reigning champions of the now Carolina Coast Conference, Topsail volleyball swept Coastal Christian on the road on Thursday for their first win of the season.

The set scores were 25-13, 25-16, 26-24.

Sarah Cutler led the Pirates with 10 kills, followed by Valentina Bugnatto with seven.

“A little bit of nerves going in because Coastal is a good team, but once we just play relaxed, it just makes volleyball a lot more fun,” Cutler said. “Just the reminder to stay calm. Really rally for every point. It feels good when you get a good lead and then you can just kind of play relaxed with your teammates and have fun.”
