Two men arrested on multiple drug charges

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Wednesday night the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office Vice and Narcotics Unit concluded a two-month long investigation which resulted in the result of more than 100 grams of cocaine.
According to the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office, deputies tried to stop a vehicle on Mt. Pisgah Road. The car was driven by Anthony Napolitano, 29, of Carolina Shores, with Delton Bessent, 27, of Conway, South Carolina as a passenger.
Napolitano fled from deputies at a high speed for a short distance before stopping on Cumbee Road. During the chase, drugs were thrown from the vehicle in the 900 block of Mt. Pisgah Road where agents later found them.
Both Napolitano and Bessent were taken into custody.
Napolitano is charged with flee to elude arrest, conspiracy to sell/deliver cocaine, conspiracy to sell/deliver methamphetamine, 2 counts of possession with intent to sell/deliver cocaine, possession with intent to sell/deliver methamphetamine, 2 counts of sale of cocaine, maintaining a vehicle for controlled substance, conspiracy to traffic cocaine, and trafficking cocaine.
Bessent is charged with conspiracy to sell/deliver cocaine, conspiracy to sell/deliver methamphetamine, 2 counts of possession with intent to sell/deliver cocaine, possession with intent to sell/deliver methamphetamine, 2 counts of sale of cocaine, maintaining a vehicle for controlled substance, conspiracy to traffic cocaine, and trafficking cocaine
