UNCW announces change In volleyball leadership

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — UNCW has announced that Dottie Hampton will not be retained as head coach of the Seahawk volleyball program.

Hampton, who guided the program for five seasons, finished the current season with a mark of 7-18 overall and 4-14 in the Coastal Athletic Association.

Assistant coach Jeff Yasalonis will serve as interim head coach.

“We appreciate Coach Hampton’s contributions and dedication to the team and are committed to ensuring a smooth transition to identify a new head coach,” said UNCW Director of Athletics Michael Oblinger.
