UNCW-ECU baseball cancelled for tomorrow

WILMINGTON, North Carolina (UNCWSports.com) – Wednesday’s baseball game between UNCW and visiting East Carolina has been postponed due to anticipated inclement weather. The game will now be played at Brooks Field on May 9 at 6 p.m.

With the postponement, UNCW’s homestand has been reduced to eight games and resumes this Friday when the Seahawks open Colonial Athletic Association play hosting Hofstra at 6 p.m.

The Seahawks (14-6) are coming off a weekend sweep of Quinnipiac in which they outscored the Bobcats, 37-6.

UNCW is receiving votes in both the USAToday Coaches and the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association polls.
