UNCW Seahawk fans board bus for CAA championship game

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Fans are heading south for tonight’s big UNCW game against the College of Charleston.

Seahawk fans gathered in front of Trask Coliseum to board a bus bound for Charleston this afternoon.

These dedicated fans will travel down there for the game and then return tonight.

Some kids took the day off from school and said they wouldn’t miss this chance to see their favorite players take home yet another win.

It will be a late night for these Seahawks fans but some say they know they will be driving back in high spirits because the Seahawks are going to come home with a victory.

“My favorite player is Denzel Ingram,” fan Carter Ponnett said. “I just like how he shoots those threes and swooshes them all.”

“I like Devontae Cacok,” supporter Alex Ferretti said. “Because all the time he just comes out of nowhere and just dunks the ball.”

Tip off is tonight at 7:00 at the North Charleston Coliseum.
