UPDATE: Crews working on building home in 30 hours

NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — We have an update on a story we have been following. In honor of Cape Fear Habitat for Humanity’s 30th anniversary they are building a family a house in only 30 hours, and the clock is ticking.

Crews began working this morning at 7 a.m. and since then they have done a lot of work.

So far the house has a roof and the foundation is there so in case it rained , no water would get inside. Shingles are being placed on the roof, the siding is going up, and the plumbing, electrical, heating, and air was all finished by 3 p.m. Thursday afternoon.

A building inspector stopped by to look over the work. The home is expected to be finished by Friday at 1 p.m.
