Veteran receives apology after rude letter left on car

CONCORD, NC (WSOC) — A veteran who received a negative note on her car parked in a space reserved for veterans last week, received a different letter from the same person.

This time, it was an apology letter. Rebecca Hayes posted the sincere apology letter to her Facebook page Monday. The original note left on her car read, “This parking is for Veterans, lady. Learn to read and have some respect.”

In the apology note posed on social media, the person apologized and thanked Hayes for her service. “I’ve seen so many young people park in retired vets spaces, along with handicap lately, and I lost my cool,” the note read.
