Walmart plans to hire over 2,000 seasonal workers in North Carolina

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Walmart says it will be hiring more than 2,000 seasonal employees in North Carolina for the upcoming holiday season.

The company announced they will be starting employees at $9.00 an hour, which is almost $2.00 dollars above the federal and state minimum wage.

Last year, the company said more than half of the Walmart seasonal employees across the nation stayed on as full time employees after the holidays.
