Water outage scheduled for area near downtown

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A spokesman with the Cape Fear Public Utility Authority says crews will shut off water for an area near Downtown Wilmington on Wednesday.

Mike McGill says the outage will take place from 9:00 a.m. to approximately 5:00 p.m. and will affect approximately 225 customers.

The areas impacted Wednesday:

• Castle Street: 1200-1500 blocks
• Queen Street: 1300-1500 blocks
• Wooster Street: 1200-1400 blocks
• 12th Street: 800 block
• 13th, 14th and 15th streets: 600-800 blocks

After the outage, a Boil Water Advisory will be in place for the area.
