Wave Transit offering free rides for Earth Day

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wave Transit is offering free rides on Saturday in celebration of Earth Day.

The deal will take place all day and across all modes of service, including RideMICRO, fixed route bus, and Dial-A-Ride Transportation.

“Using public transportation, even for one day, makes a positive impact on the environment by reducing the amount of carbon emissions released into the atmosphere. Participating residents will help reduce greenhouse gas and improve air quality locally,” a statement read.

Wave Transit is encouraging residents to help maximize their positive impact on the environment by using public transportation as often as possible.
