Wells Fargo Championship: Eagle Point Hole 6
Hole: 6
Par: 5
Yardage: 549
Description: The fifth hole is the shortest par 5 on the golf course, however that does not guarantee a low score.
The tee shot is guarded by a creek down the left side of the hole and a bunker on the right in the layup area. Players will have the option to challenge the hole or play short of the bunker making it a three-shot hole. On the approach the creek winds to the right side of the fairway continuing to green side.
The fairway is severely slanted toward the creek on the entire approach.
The green is secured by a large bunker short and left of the green. A shot that does not find the green will be faced with a difficult pitch, especially to a front or back hole location. The green has two portions and is divided by a large bowl in the center of the green.
Distance control is crucial at the sixth.
