WFD responds to apartment fire on Water Street

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington Fire Department crews responded to an apartment fire located at 106 N. Water Street.

The fire has been extinguished at this time.

According to Battalion Chief Chris Nelson, the sprinkler system located in apartment controlled the fire, keeping the fire contained to the room of origin.

No injuries were reported.
