WHATS HAPPENING: March 22nd-24th

WHATS HAPPENING (WWAY) – From expo’s to plenty of Easter fun, there are plenty of things happening this weekend in the Cape Fear.

In Brunswick County, rain or shine, Easter fun is hopping its way to Northwest Land and Cattle in Leland on Saturday for their Cattle and Carrots event. Enjoy a day at a 5th generation farm with photo ops from the Easter Bunny, live music and an Easter Egg hunt. An Eastern North Carolina whole hog BBQ will be smoked as well. It’s happening from 10am-2pm, with $5 entry and kids under 2 get in free.

In New Hanover County, the WWAY Family & Kids Expo this Saturday at Independence Mall. This gives families the opportunity to find unique needs that fit them such as childcare solutions, educational opportunities or just some fun for the kids! Some of the fun will include popcorn, cotton candy, inflatables and a magic show. It’s happening from 11am-3pm and the event is free.

In Columbus County, come celebrate North Carolina’s largest student arts festival at East Columbus Jr/Sr High School. Celebrate The Arts is a partnership between Columbus County Schools and Whiteville City Schools, which will feature performances and artwork from more than 1,000 students. Its happening on Saturday from 5pm-9:30pm and admission is free.

Whether its fun for the family and kids, some Easter festivities or a love for the arts, there is plenty going on for everyone.
