WHAT’S HAPPENING: Weekend of February 23rd-25th
(WWAY) — From vintage shopping, war reenactments, to hanging out with reptiles; there is no shortage of events going on this weekend in the Cape Fear.
Down in Myrtle Beach, there will be lots of shopping, music, food and vendors from across the United States.
Vintage Market Days of Coastal Carolina is offering guests a “Vintage Vibes” experience featuring an in-door market with art, antiques, clothing, home decor, and more. There will also be food trucks available. Vintage Vibes is Friday, February 23rd to Sunday, February 25h from 10am-3pm at the John T. Rhodes Myrtle Beach Sports Center.
If you want to commemorate a piece of American history, you can do so this weekend in Pender County.
Moore’s Creek National Park is celebrating the 248th anniversary of the Battle of Moore’s Creek Bridge. The Battle of Moore’s Creek Bridge took place on February 27th, 1776. There will be a battle commemoration, wreath laying and performances from pipes and drum bands; as well as 18th century toys and games for children.
It’s happening at 40 Patriots Hall Drive Currie, NC 28435. The event is on Saturday from 10am-2:30pm and Sunday from 12pm-3:00pm.
If you have young children looking to display their art skills and see some reptiles, this Sunday is their chance.
Fresh Start Rescue and The ArtSea Shop & Studio are partnering to offer reptile themed arts/crafts classes this Sunday. Kids can paint 3-D printed reptiles and during the last 30 minutes, the class will interact with several different rescued reptiles.
The event will be from 1-2:30pm on Sunday at The ArtSea Shop & Studio at 3 South Second Street, Units 150 and 160 in downtown Wilmington.
