Wild horse struck, killed on North Carolina beach

COROLLA, NC (WVEC) — A wild horse was struck and killed on the beach Saturday night, according to a Corolla Wild Horse Fund Facebook post.

According to the post, the mare died instantly and “her stallion stayed over her body all night even after she was covered with a tarp.”

The organization is urging drivers to pay attention when driving on the beach at night.
