Wilma Expo hosts more than 175 local vendors

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The fifth annual Wilma Expo was held Saturday at the Wilmington Convention Center to kick off the holiday season and celebrate inspiring women in our community.

More than 175 vendors were on site offering products, services, and information at their booths including WWAY.

Event organizer Magi Apel says the expo includes booths for moms and kids, health and wellness, business and careers, home accessories and décor and holiday shopping.

“It’s a good chance for businesses in the community to meet face to face with the Wilma readers,” said Apel. “All of these are local businesses and we feel that is very important.”

More than 3,500 people were expected to attend Saturday.

Apel says every year the expo continues to grow and hopes Wilma magazine will be able to have another expo in 2016.
